National Quality Framework

Aiming to exceed the standard across every quality area.

The National Quality Framework is a Government initiative that sets a National Quality Standard for early childhood education and care across Australia — improving educator-to-child ratios, qualifications, regulations and a quality ratings system that helps you make informed choices for your child.

The Seven Quality Areas

How we deliver quality, every day.

Educational program & practice

Programs that stimulate curiosity, challenge thinking and respond to each child's interests.

Children's health & safety

Daily routines, hygiene, nutrition, rest and supervision that keep every child safe and well.

Physical environment

Indoor and outdoor spaces designed for exploration, comfort and sustainable practice.

Staffing arrangements

Qualified, consistent educators who know your child and your family by name.

Relationships with children

Warm, respectful interactions that build confidence, self-worth and a sense of belonging.

Partnerships with families & community

Open communication, family input and strong ties to our Rochedale community.

Leadership & service management

Reflective leadership, sound policy and a quality improvement plan that's always moving forward.

Always improving — together.

Hatchlings aims to exceed the National Quality Standard across every area of our service. Our Quality Improvement Plan documents what we're doing in our centres to get there — from programs and practice, to health and safety, environment, staffing and family partnerships.
